NAKS(재미한국학교협의회)의 보조교사 봉사상도 수여합니다.
TI(Texas Instruments) 장학금과 TOPIK 고득점자 장학금을 제공합니다.

College
After graduating from 9th grade, students can serve as teaching assistants until they go to college. Helping teachers and younger students in the classroom, they build leadership skills and learn firsthand how to take part in and give back to their community.
👨👩👧 We also offer classes for adults. See the Adult Program page for details.
Teaching Assistant Program
Serving as a teaching assistant offers leadership training and strong support for college preparation. Volunteers can also receive the NAKS (National Association for Korean Schools) Teaching Assistant Service Award.
NKSD has served as a certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA), honoring assistant teachers based on their recorded volunteer hours. The PVSA program is currently paused by AmeriCorps; we will resume our role as a certifying organization when it restarts.
Scholarships
We offer the TI (Texas Instruments) Scholarship and TOPIK High Achiever Scholarships. NKSD is supported by overseas Korean organizations, companies, and individuals, and their donations fund student scholarships and teacher training.
Our teachers
Our experienced teachers work hard to make learning as fun as play. They grow their expertise through our own teacher training, the Southwest regional association's workshops, and the annual NAKS conference. NKSD is always learning and creating new teaching methods, pioneering new paths in Korean language education.
